Enhancements made to BlueNetSM Online Portal for Group Benefit Administrators

Group Benefit Administrators will soon see changes to their BlueNet online portal. There will be a new look as well as changes to the Employee Roster, Member Profile and Enrollment sections.

Data accuracy on renewal documents key to securing best renewal

Changes in employee population size may have significant impact on quotes for health plans. Therefore, in order to ensure that you are receiving the most accurate rates for your client, BCBSAZ encourages brokers to provide any change in total eligible employees that may move the group across the 51+ threshold at least 90 days prior to the renewal date of their contract.

BCBSAZ to accept plan and/or effective date changes via telephone

BCBSAZ has implemented new guidelines for effective date and plan change requests related to Individual/Family Plans to make it even easier for you to provide exceptional service to your clients. Brokers, on behalf of their customers and Individual under-65 policyholders, can now make changes to their plan and/or effective date by calling BCBSAZ’s Enrollment department at 602-864-4115.

IRS guidance on W-2 reporting

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released Notice 2012-9 providing additional guidance on requirements under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act for employers to report the cost of employer-sponsored health coverage on employee W-2 wage statements.
